The password not only protect you from anyone looking up where you have been, but it also encrypts all the data inside using your password as a key .

Your instrument password is NOT the same as the Manager login password.
The instrument password is stored inside the instrument memory .


If you were using a previous version and you had set up a password, chances are ,

you had checked the  "Do  not ask for password anymore" feature

If you are now reusing the instrument with a new software, this application will ask you for a password as it dosent have it in it's memory.
